I'm pleased with it too. Except if I do the red square only to 13 cms it is nowhere near square and far too short so I did an extra two rows to make it more square but now it might be too big to fit with the others. Anybody else had this problem.

I'm looking forward to hearing how you are all getting on with the squares. After quite a lot of practice on scrap wool I've started the pink shell one. That's from the second issue. And it's going quite well. Miracle!!

My 2nd and 3rd editions arrived today and I spent a happy few hours this evening figuring out how to do the pink shell square and the granny square with scrap yarn. I'm quite pleased with how they came out so tomorrow I'm going to give them a try with the actual yarn intended for them.

And to think, a few short weeks ago, I couldn't even do a foundation chain. Now I know how to do that as well as 4 stitches (ss, dc, tr and htr), how to turn and can read a basic pattern.

Ok, so I don't hold the yarn in quite the right way (a combination of mild Dyspraxia and Polio as a child means that my left hand doesn't work quite right) but after much trial and error, I've found a way that works for me and I've stopped stressing about it, and I may not be the fastest or neatest crocheter in the world but I'm so proud of the progess I've made in just a few weeks.

I can't wait to see what the next edition brings! :D

I'm not holding the yarn quite right either, but I am getting there. It's nice to have a new thing to try and while away some happy hours. I tried the pink shell one and I think I've got the hang of it. I'd like to have a go at that ripple blanket that I saw on another thread. But not yet!

I'm kinda holding it trapped between my middle and index finger with it draped across the index finger. I still have the ocassional problem but it works for me *shrugs*

My mum actually crochets as if she's knitting which just confuses the hell out of me!

Ebay seems to have plenty!

I finally recieved a reply today as to why I am still waiting for issue 2 & 3. They are having to print more of 3 & I will not recieve until end of Feb then have to wait another 4 weeks for next lot!!
Needless to say they got a snotty reply & I have cancelled my direct debit. I am so cross that subscribers end up at the bottom of the pile & will not be purchasing any more

If you wanted one could you order it from your newsagent?

Well, I just wanted a look at it really, and I did consider getting the first one so I could decide whether I wanted to try it or not as I'm not really into crochet, although I can do it a bit. But as I haven't seen it, I took it as a sign that I probably shouldn't go there!
