I've done a stupid thing and dried my favourite Fat Face 'do not dry in direct sunlight' t-shirt on the washing line and now it's faded in patches and I can't wear it any more. I'm trying to track down a new one but it's last year's stock and the helpful lady at our nearest outlet village didn't sound too hopeful. Does anybody know if I can dye it a darker shade of pink than it already is so that I can cover up the faded patches and wear it again? I've never tried dyeing anything before, and because I know there are lots of yarn dyeing experts her, I thought I'd try asking here for help first!

If it's a pure cotton t-shirt I'd be happy to post you some procion dye and the soda ash you need to set it. I've got instructions too, but be warned: it's addictive ;)

Fluzz, that's so kind of you, thank you! It is a 100% cotton t-shirt so hopefully that would be OK. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out, is it OK to PM you about what to do next?

Even if they don't have it now, it can still be worth keeping your eye out later. I remember seeing a skirt in a shop at our outlet village which I'd bought in a sale two or three years ealier.

I'll definitely do that, then, thanks! In the meantime, with Fluzz's help, I'm about to dip my toe into the hitherto unknown world of dyeing
