Just found out about this very intriguing arts project which will take place just across the water from me. ( Mongrel, where are you - have you seen this? :shock: )
I posted it here as I thought it might be a nice focus project for knitting groups etc.

I saw this one too - it's a fascinating idea. Being Scottish, though lived in Yorkshire for many years, we're planning to get involved in the homecoming, and I think this would be fun to join in. Looking forward to more info about it, even if I don't actually knit a bridge :lol:

I'm quite tickled by the fact it's a bridge they are knitting for. I'm a civil/structural engineer, but I mostly deal with existing bridges. I'd love it if someone knitted something for one of mine! I'm not sure what most my colleagues would think about it though, :? probably would be very bemused. :mrgreen:
