I think that's the one that meets somewhere on Newland Ave - associated with Babes in the Wool I think, or perhaps they just advertise it. This is the one Tigerjill and I have been meaning to go to. I don't go into Hull much these days, but if no one else is stopping near Babes in the Wool in the next few days, I'll give them a ring and see what they know. If I don't post by Friday, give me a nudge ;)

Going near Babes in the Wool? Nope, not me, nuh uh. Well, not till tomorrow at least...

If I do go near it tomorrow (hard not to, I live on the same street), I'll be sure to see what I can see. And maybe check out some of that new yarn I've seen in their window display.

Don't blame me Meejo - I did offer to save you and Jill from a horrible visit  Thanks for making the sacrifice though! Could you just have a quick look in the bargain section and see if they have any Louisa Harding left - I got two lots a couple of months ago for 99p a ball, and really wish I'd bought more. I think I pointed Jill at it, so no doubt it's gone (or was it you I directed there  ) Oh, and new yarn? What new yarn? Although I don't technically have any need to be in the area now I've given up work (yay!) I could make an exception.

Commiserations to your sister Triknitter - she'll do it next time. And what a nice sister you are to buy her a wee cheer-you-up.

Well, first things first, there is still some Louisa Harding left, one ball of a lovely bluey colour, and lots of a peachy-type.

New yarn: They're now stocking a little bit of Noro - Kureyon, Kureyon Sock, Silk Garden Lite and Yuzen (which is the softest Noro I've ever felt). Yes, they've got the King Cole Inspire in stock, which is really lovely and soft, but not so easy to frog. I bought a few balls to make a baby blanket, but didn't like the pattern, gave up on the frogging, and made the Bear blanket instead.

Also still expanding their range of Katia yarns. They've got a DK superwash merino in stock which is considerably cheaper than Debbie Bliss and a fair bit softer than the King Cole merino - I'll be going back later armed with a strictly limited amount of cash.

Oh, and the knitting club - next meets on Tuesday 15th September, 6.30 - 8.30 pm, in the Relax Cafe on Newland Ave.

Oh Fab! Thanks for that Meejo, I thought it would be 15th but was going to give them a call to check.

I'm definitely going to make the effort to go this month. I'll put it on my calendar now before I forget. Anyone else going to go?

I'm sure there's another thread where we debated the date of the next mtg but I can't find it. Anyway, it's definitely Tuesday 13 October 6.30pm-8.30pm at Relax Cafe on Newland Ave. Me, go in the yarn shop? Nope. Well maybe just a little bit  Popped in (no, made a 16 mile round trip) to get some sock dpns. I think Zyle's cat may have eaten all the ones I had.
