I bought one strand of wool (=200mtrs / 200 gr. Wash+Filz-it! Magicolor from Schachenmayer) and the pattern was on the inside of the wrapping. One strand is enough to make one pair in EU shoe size 30/31 - 34/35 - 38/39 - 42/43, mine is 38/39. I even have some yarn left. Maybe it's enough to make a little purse or something....
You need 8 mm knitting needles and 5 DPNS in 8 mm. Making them scared me at first, but I made a slipper an evening ;) so it wasn't so hard after all.

I tried to find more info in English on the Coats website, but all I found was info in German :?

Thanks for the link  I used this yarn: http://www.purplelindacrafts.co.uk/wash ... -483-c.asp
(Passion).

The slippers just came out of the washer and look great. I have to put them through another cycle though, they still are bit too big 8-)

Wow, I love the colours.

I did ask in another thread what DPNS is/are?! But I can't find the thread I asked it in to get the answer... I'm going to watch this thread so will know if someone replies!

Wow these look great Guzzi. Well done for sticking at it - cozy feet for you!

Whoopy - DPNs are double pointed needles, the things you use for knitting smaller things (like socks/mitts) in the round (for bigger things like sweaters you'd use circulars). HTH. :D

After a second washing I think they are ready. Maybe still a bit big, but for use as house slippers not a real problem. :D

They look great  I have always thought of felting as a mysterious process not to be attempted by mere mortals so I shall have to change my ideas now :P
