I'll be visiting Newcastle in 3 weeks and was wondering if there are any LYS that are a must-visit. Because I only will be there one day (saturday 20th) it has to be located in the city centre ;) Tips are much appriciated

Hello

I live in Newcastle and there is a lovely yarn shop opened in Clayton Street Newcastle, it is only small due to the size of the shop but it sells Sirdar, Stylecraft and Rico,
( if you go through Eldon Square from Blackett street to Clayton street it is on the left hand side, or go down the escaltors from the new Debenhams, you will turn right and it is up past Tesco .
There is also a new wool shop at Black frairs, which sells a completely different range from the wool shop
details below
The Knit Studio
6 Frairs Green
Newcastle upon tyne (Behind the gate complex)

This is a lovely quaint shop and has a knitting session on a Saturday morning
You also have John Lewis and Fenwicks which sell the higher priced wools.

Hope you enjoy your visit

regards

Lynn :knit:
