6g mini sock yarn skein swap - * sign ups now closed *

This is a swap aimed mainly at the sock blankets knitters among us - 6g should make at least 2, if not 3, 31st mitred squares

Right seem to have a few takers for this - so - Please sign up here if you want to join in

Swap will be 5 x 6g mini skeins of sock yarn - each different
Any 4ply sock yarn with at least 50% wool content
Labels for what each one is would be nice but not essential ( I can label some but not others!)
Non-smoking homes

I am leaning towards no gift and just swapping the yarn? although I could be swayed!

It sounds fine Tatty, I'm in. I managed to make 10 skiens so if there is a chance to be on the list twice then I'll be happy to do that, if not then once will be fine too. :smile:

I'd like to take part too! I've been wanting to start a sock yarn blanket for ages, so this will be the kick I need! I have digital kitchen scales that weigh in grammes, so I'm hoping that will be accurate enough?

yes they will be fine - I think with 6g it will give enough to do 2 squares even with slightly thicker 4ply that may weigh a bit more for a bit less yardage.

It is 6g - Six grams - I think it might be approx 24 yards - but am happy to stand corrected!
