I know this topic has been touched on before but what I was wondering whether anyone would be prepared to post a photo of them wearing their shawl - but actually looking at the camera, a front view. I just think I look odd with mine wrapped around me and basically I need some reassurance that actually, I just look like everyone else (she says hopefully! ). Go on, be brave, post a pic for me please!!

I'm look forward to seeing photos of this one Lynne - I shy away from shawls although I love wearing triangular scarves wrapped and hanging. Not sure what to do with a shawl though. Come on guys, line up for a photo shoot :D

This has been seen before; it's 198 Yards of Heaven in Malabrigo Worsted, colour Velvet Grapes. It's a small shawl and I'm wearing it what I call 'scarf style'.

Believe it or not, this is the only photo I have that shows my face; I usually get DH to take the photos of my FOs for me, as it's so much easier than trying to use the timer on my camera phone. He does have a tendency to cut my head off though   I'll have a look through the holiday pics and see if I can find any more. I know he took a couple last night and I was wearing my red Forest Canopy, but in the same style as above.

I don't think you need to worry what you look like...i wear this funny, stash-buster-of-a-shawl "thing" on an evening when I'm knitting and I never thought about how I looked cos I'm happy in a little knitty world all of my own...BUT...the other day DH took a pic of me and when I saw it I was shocked at what I looked like

In my defence, I was concentrating at the time, so that explains the hunched up posture and the pained expression, but I am too embarrassed to post the pic on here  even though someone did threaten to put it on facebook :?

I don't feel comfortable posting my face on the net, so I can only offer you a view from the back - but it's with a shawl wrapped around me. This is my biggest, and I like that look better on me than a smaller shawl.

This is the one from last night (at the Beer Festival); ignore the hair, it was quite a breezy walk to get there

It's a shame you can't see the earrings a bit better; I made those too

Thank you Helen and CC. I really appreciate you posting, and CC, I totally respect you preferring not to post your face. I can still see how you were wearing your shawl and it's beautiful.
Helen yours look super too and I think this is possibly the way that I shall end up wearing mine, providing I don't make them too big.
I'd love to wear one like CC's but after the Travelling Woman comments that I got, I'm still not brave enough for that yet.

This is my denim laminaria I wore every day in Finland. I like to wear smaller shawls this way too, because I think the lacework is lost while round the back, and can look old fashioned. I do use other styles mentioned in an earlier post two weeks ago or so.

Some lovely shawls to look at here - well done ladies.

I can't offer any pictures of me wearing my shawls I'm afraid (I'm usually on the other side of the camera) but I did bookmark this blog post a while ago, where the writer has taken pictures of herself wearing a shawl in different styles - thought you might find it useful. :D
