Re: Knitted badges

I don't think pva would last. I like Gorilla glue but that might be a bit of overkill in this case. This stuff might work well too: Copydex 1652 Adhesive Jar 125ml

Yes, that's chunky or maybe even super chunky. Check out Deramores for a good variety of colours and choices.

Re: Cloths for washing dishes - yarn query

I guess that it might have something to do with cleaning the cloth - you can't get acrylic too hot so you couldn't boil it, and using bleach on it would be a no-no too.

Re: Yarn to go with James C Brett Party Time

Try a ball of Cygnet chunky - it uses the same needle sizes and it's cheap enough for an experiment. They are small Company so keep their prices down to attract more custom and I saw lots of good reviews. Have not tried it myself.

If my Swiss cheese of a brain can remember that when I have finished the fairisle waistcoat I have on the needles, I will try that Tony.

Re: Been doing it wrong for years

OK Tony, enlighten us! My guess would be it would be to differentiate between purl (yrn) and knit (yon). Each makes a stitch with a hole doesn't it?

Re: Come on folks, what you working on

Thanks for showing that close up Saliha - I had wondered how that ribbony type of yarn looked when knitted. I like it! Pretty Spring colour too.
