These are beautiful, but I'm not being funny in saying that I fail to see what they've got to do with a hobby knitting forum. Surely they'd be better off being shown on somewhere more professional

Oh I don't know deakin, I still appreciate barbarians talent even though I have no desire -or ability to make such garments. Personally I find some of the designs too suggestive for my liking. But I think one of the sad points that Barbarian is making, is that he feels that as a Russian he's denied a fair platform outside the soviet block. I have no opinions either way about how real/genuine the facts are but I am sad that is the perceived view of our country.
I still think that Barbarians designs are such high end designer projects that they would have a limited market in the open british market. If I were lucky enough to have several thousand to spend on clothes, I'd like to think I could choose because of the design not the origin.
But as you say also we are a hobby forum to share our passions about knitting not a marketing outlet and definately not a political platform.
It's an interesting point that you make.

Eh, friends... Why you don't believe me?.. I'm really an amateur.

My main profession: installation of ventilation, fire protection and plumbing systems (this is a link to my main website):

It's not that i don't believe you but maybe because your work looks so professional, they look professionally photographed you have been cited in magazines and your name is known, you sell your work to individuals and would dearly love to sell more, all says professional even though it may not be as professional as you would like. Perhaps you should be an artist rather than a hobbyist.

Love the last one! Do you have to sew stiffening onto the birds' heads to make them stand out like that? It has been many, many years since I would have dared wear it though!

My knowledge of English is not brilliant... I'm not sure that I understand the question... Heads of birds do not require special support, they simply rest on collarbones of a model!
