Project a month.............Monumentous May!

Postby divadoll_1 » Fri May 01, 2015 6:22 pm

Now that is a title that should get those big project juices flowing. I know I aim to get that blasted fairisle sweater eventually finished. I need to steek!! EEEK! AND add a zip AND put in some strategic darts because it came up too roomy

We lost Sweetpea last month so the list is as follows

divadoll_1.............................done
Joy........................................3
Scotgirl..................................1
Sunhat Lady............................done
Helen.....................................done
JMT........................................2
Amethyst...............................done
Maisie....................................done

Let's see what appears this month. A nice short working one so more time to knit ;)

I'm sorry we've lost sweetpea, she and I have been communicating about her cardigan and I know how hard she's working on it.
DD I'm looking forward to seeing your sweater. I'm working on a CAL (as in create along rather than crochet along) in the glorious gradients group over on Ravelry so I'm hoping to have some stunning spinning done. I've also got a crochet top on the go and some SSS to conquer (second sock syndrome)

Divadoll, your project sounds really interesting, looking forward to seeing it.
I've sat tonight and darned away all the ends of this little aran cardi, now I just have to hope it fits, I'm a terrible judge of sizes!

That's really sweet Scotgirl.

Here is my offering this month. A wrap for my sister's 60th Birthday. I bought the wool last Tuesday and worked on it all day Wednesday and Thursday and managed to get it sewn up on Friday. I took it straight over as she is going on holiday to Menorca for a week with her friend to celebrate her birthday. Her birthday's not until 16th May but I though she would get more use out of it in the evenings on her holiday!!

It's knitted in King Cole Opium in black and only took 2 balls. It knits up quickly because it's on 6mm needles. She was really surprised when I gave it to her.

I love the effect that Opium creates. I've got two tops made with it and they're so easy to wear
