It's a stitch pattern called feather and fan or old shale there are lots of tutorials online so I haven't suggested any one in preference cause we all have styles that suit ourselves.
I suspect the lovely colourway in your photo is achieved by alternating 2 variegated yarns.

Have you got a project in mind?

i know there are lots of tutorials about this pattern but i want to know how to knit this specific pattern .in other types of old shale there are holes but in this photo i see no holes :smile:

You replace all yarnovers with kfbs so there will be no holes. Do you see.the telltale vertical notches in the piece?

kfb? knit into the front leg of the stitch and then into the back leg of the same stitch

Here's the exact pattern to make the stitch shown in your picture. It's actually a holeless variation of Old Shale stitch:

Cast on a multiple of 18 stitches.

Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: K2tog three times, *yo, K1; rep from * 5 times, K2tog three times
Row 4: Purl
