Nice easy scarf pattern wanted....?

Postby Tina » Tue Mar 29, 2011 4:43 pm

as some of you know, my mother died last week.....so have lost a bit of my knitting mojo.

I have finished one sock which was on the needles..but don't feel like starting the other yet....it was a tricky pattern.

So I have some very nice lilac 4 ply, I thought would make a nice lacy scarf. Have had a browse around ravelry....and haven't quite found one that hits the spot...the ones I relaly like are a bit complicated...so...any suggestions? I think i would probably like to do the long rectagular style, rather than a shawl type....just something nice and easy.....without too much complication?
I love a good yarn.........

I made Willow as a shawl, but it looks great as a scarf, too:

I love the look of the upstairs shawl, have just added it to my library am now on the search for some 2 ply yarn. I've never knitted with anything finer than 4ply before. oooh excited to get started now!! Brightened up this grey morning with a new challenge! I will now spend my morning searching the net for some pretty laceweight yarns, any suggestions as to where to look greatfully received!

I'm so sorry that I missed your sad news about your mum. I think it's a great idea to give yourself something new to do - it also gives you a chance to just sit, reflect and remember. You may find the scarf that you make at this time becomes very special to you too.
My thoughts are with you and I look forward to seeing what you knit. x
