Woo-Hoo - now with photo

Postby Christine » Thu May 19, 2011 12:22 pm

I finished plying some (I think) BFL fibre that I was given a few months ago by my friend Lucy.

And......

If I've measured the turns of my niddy-noddy correctly, it's 382 metres of yarn :celebrate:

Still a bit lumpy in places and there was one breakage where I hadn't spun it enough (I've pulled that bit into a loop and put a knot in it), but I think there's enough to make a Multnomah shawl. I fractally spun this and it resembles Crazy Zauberballe (well, a bit!).

It's now soaking in the sink upstairs and I'll bash it and hang it up to dry once I've had a cup of tea!

I am a happy bunny :D

I'll do pics once it's soaked, bashed, dried and skeined or balled (and also once I've found my camera charger - misplaced it again  ).

Here's a photo:

And here's some merino/silk (50g) that I finished spinning a few days ago. I thought that if I ran out of the blue/mauve/green yarn, I could do the last few rows with the plain blue.

Thank you :)

I've cast on a Multnomah shawl using it and it's knitting up rather nicely so far (if I do say so myself!).
