Fiveinhand its been a while since I bought any since I don't particularly like it - it wears like iron because it feels like iron - usually I shop around and can find it for about £3 for 50g. Had a quick look at my usual haunts and it does seem to have increased to £8/9 for 100g, good job I've got enough sock yarn to last a long time!

I bought the blue Aran (a nice calm shade) for my son because he liked it. The purple was beautiful too. However I was taken aback by how garish the dk options were - I would not dress kids in almost any of them because it would just be cruel but I suppose they work for toys or something...
