Trying to find this wool

Postby mearlski26 » Sun Mar 09, 2014 4:57 pm

Hi.

My wife purchased this wool from pound stretcher and managed to make 98% of a jumper. The problem is she has run out and cant find the wool anywhere. Does anyone know where I can get some from? We dont need loads, maybe only 50Gs or so

Its grey in colour and the uploaded photos should show the wool's label.

All help appreciated

Thanks

Hi Mearlski, I've done a Google search (much as you have, probably) and there is some HobbyKnit yarn on Ebay although it's not the colour that you want. It looks to me as if Glenmore is the name of the yarn and Hobbyknit the manufacturer. It might be worth contacting Poundstretcher to see if they can put you in touch with Hobbyknit, but the problem is that even if you manage to get another ball, the dye lot may not be the same so there may be a slight difference in colour.

Is there any way that your wife could do the last bit of the jumper in a contrasting colour? This might work for a neckband, perhaps. I'm sorry I can't be more help - there may be someone else on the forum who can, though - but good luck with your search.

In that case then, I think you may be stuck with being creative with the last bit of the jumper, I'm afraid! Some Hobbyknit yarn is listed on http://www.ravelry.com and sometimes people will sell their stash so it might be worth looking there too if you've not done already.
