Where to stick my needle ...

Postby TonyH » Tue Dec 26, 2017 10:54 am

I’ve been doing a few of of the same headband recently. It has a double cable, with the cable row on every 5th row of 6. I’m at a loss as to where to keep my cable needle between cable rows. Tried behind my ear, but that didn’t work. If I leave it on the chair arm, it inevitably drops down the side never to be seen again. I did try inserting it into the work, but been told that weakens the yarn. Any help would be gratefully received. :dunno:

Thanks, Tony.

Put into your work vertically....only works when you've knitted a good few rows of course, but that way you don't risk splitting the yarn so much. Having said that, when not behind my ear (my ears must stick out differently from yours!) I put it into my work any old way, I have never noticed a problem.

Thanks @darknit. I'll give the vertical option a try
