Ball winders? Stitch Counters? Strange contraptions that look alien but allow you to knit four times as fast? Tell us about them all here.

Yarn cone winder - free to good home!

Postby Flowerfairy » Sat Jan 18, 2014 5:40 pm

A friend of mine has been given a box of donated stuff and there's a cone winder in there that she doesn't want. She's wondering if anyone else wants it before she takes it to the charity shop.

She's at The Make and Do Studio - you can find her on Facebook, at http://www.themakeanddostudio.co.uk or email her at maeri@themakeanddostudio.co.uk

What a kind friend to think of your knitting friends first.
If anyone is intersted but is put off by the term “cone" winder rather than "ball" winder. I use a cone winder and its more than adequate. Maybe not what I would buy now but certainly it would just be a waste of money to change it.( obviously I don't know if its the same but thought I'd pass on my thoughts anyway)

Thanks, Joy. It'll be going to the charity shop later in the week apparently, so if anyone wants it they'll need to get in touch with Maeri quite quickly.
