Tea cosies

Postby justandwhitehill » Wed Feb 22, 2012 9:32 pm

Hello - we are newly joined. We publish a UK TEA magazine for people who love tea rooms and tea and have a specific interest in tea-related items, such as tea cosies! We are currently running a tea cosy competition - knit, crochet or sew - with tea-related prizes. Judging on 13 March 2012 and open to all. Tea cosies will then be sold to raise funds for our 'travelling tea room' which goes out to older people in residential care homes in our area so that they can still enjoy a tea room experience! We are a social enterprise/ not for profit company both as a publisher and doing the travelling tea room. If you have tea cosy ideas, images, etc you'd like us to consider putting into TEA magazine let us know - we can also raise awareness of knitted/ crafted items via our website. Contact us by email at justandwhitehill@yahoo.com
We look forward to staying in touch with knitting news!

How did your competition turn out? Did you take pictures?
My mother told me about a tea room that had tables covered in pretty hand-crocheted tablecloths. I thought that was a lovely idea for a tea room to have.
