I’m new to this forum and hoping you can help me please.
I’m knitting a jumper with raglan sleeves and finding the decrease instructions very confusing. I’ve attached photos of the relevant parts of the pattern.
I’m making the medium size (second in any brackets). What I’m struggling with is the underlined instruction, to decrease “alternately 2 sts at both edges, every 4 rows and 28 times 1st at both edges, every 2 rows.”
I know I’ve got to decrease 60 stitches altogether over 28 cm of knitting, but I can’t fathom what they’re saying about how to distribute the decrease over those rows.
I also need help interpreting the sleeve instruction to “shape raglan by decreasing alternately 9 times 1 st, every 4 rows and 14 times 1st every 2 rows.”
Thank you very much for your help.
