Drooolll!!! I bought some on the John Lewis sale for £3.50 for 50g - it's normally £6 something.

I've made a pair of split palm mittens for myself - they're heaven on earth to wear. This ws my first Alpaca project and I like - now just need the budget to go with. (Will post pics soon - I've finished a few small items, of course leaving the large ones undone....).

This is quite a thin DK, very soft and smooth - I knitted on 3.5mm needles in the round, and have got some 'ladders', although I moved my stitches between the needles - nothing I can't live with. I may try blocking the 1st time I wash them.

I used aluminium needles - maybe bamboo would have been better, as more grip?

I love alpaca yarns too.
They are so soft.
