fluffy bed socks

I smile to myself when I even think of these socks as they are just so so soft. I had a passing hint that member of family on in-law side would like some bed socks so I decided to try to research my first ever bed socks. The wool was the first thing as I had no idea what you use. It would appear dif...

Re: Sweetpea crochet-along

I did post about it in the post 'Plans for 2019' but I think it got lost as there seems to be two of the same posts with different posts in both...so a bit confusing to find....

Re: From The Sock Drawer collection

Those are fabulous Helen, very well done. Nothing like a bit of sock knitting to lift the spirits. When you have finished all the socks in that book (!) have a look at "Knitting Vintage Socks" by Nancy Bush. Perhaps order it from the library first to see if you like the look of any of the...

From The Sock Drawer collection

I usually use only free sock patterns as there are so many on ravelry and I am not that quick to have got through them all but I was taken by this collection. So over a period of feeling poorly, what better medicine than a click of the finger and before I knew it I had bought my first book of sock p...

Re: Come on folks, what you working on

Lovely sock yarn Joy, I too have had a brief intermission from my adored blankets to return to socks, just finished two to gift for birthdays. Now can't wait to get back to a blanket..just planning and plotting!!

Re: Lace Knitting-not enough Stitches

I smiled when I read this thread as it is exactly my experience, exasperating! Great link Joy to the Lacey scarf...the trouble is when you are put off you can't decide what's an easy pattern or not as they all seem hard!... Now Lacey socks...I can cope with, I usually have to improvise but being sma...

Re: Come on folks, what you working on

Gorgeous shawl Joy I have not ventured very far down that route, my eyes are bigger than my ability! I love the Lacey ones but have not recovered from one I attempted that had to be frogged. I have a few stash yarns bought for Lacey shawls so I really need to get a grip and try again. I particularly...
