Re: Your opinons please

Charts are not as scary as they seem, no worries! There are a lot of great tips in this topic: http://www.knittingforums.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=109 The first ever shawl I did was the Forest Canopy, but alas it isn't free anymore. You could start with something really simple, like this http:...

Re: Your opinons please

Lace? You can start simple and go for a really intricate shawl once you have the hang of it?

Re: Come on folks, what you working on

I've been eying up the moorland blanket for a while now. It makes a rather sturdy fabric, so that makes it ideal for a blanket. But if you do the bigger version, like me, with 301 stitches, it is massive. It will take me a couple of more months to finish, I'm afraid, but the colour changes are love...

Re: Come on folks, what you working on

I'm still crocheting away on Lucy's Moorland Cal. I've chosen to do the bigger size, so rows of 301 stitches  That is a lot! I can just do three rows while watching two University Challenges (my feel good tv, even though I never know more than a few answers).

Re: Come on folks, what you working on

My Lanterns blanket is finally finished! Not bad for a first big crochet project.

I've started another one, the Stargazer Blanket by Amanda Perkins. That is huge, with a lot of squares and octagons to crochet, but I'm going to give it a go.

Re: Come on folks, what you working on

Is it straight forward to follow and are the lanterns worked individually or do they get crocheted in as you work along? It's quite easy, I'm a beginner and I can do it! I've charted the lanterns, though, the pattern is all written and I need a chart, but that was easy too. Yes, they are worked ind...
