Project a month...........Jovial and juicy JULY

Postby divadoll_1 » Thu Jul 02, 2015 8:21 pm

Well we all made it through June just in time for Wimbledon and some seriously HOT weather. Let's see who falls foul of the sweltering heat or the start of the summer season......

This is the time of year when I struggle. What with work, sitting out in the garden and holidays, there's very little time for crafting.

Can 100 g skein of handspun count as a finished project. I'm spinning in front of the tennis and amazingly I'm managing to produce quite a consistent yarn.

Most definitely Joy....I seriously need to get down to more spinning as my yarn is classed as 'interesting'

Glad everyone made it, don't know about this month for me though, as if being glued to Wimbledon isn't enough I've just got a new pup :dog: I'll be lucky to make a pair of baby mitts!

Here is my offering for this month - a purse. It's been knitted for about a year! It was from a Knit Today magazine and the wool was supplied for the project, however it's taken me this long to line it and stick it to the clasp!!!
Not like me I know, but because I've had to line my peg bag last month, I'd thought I'd do this too and I've done it this afternoon with some purple cotton material. So here is the finished item (finally).

jmt - love the purse and you have made a lovely neat job of it too.
sweetpea, sorry about your dog, hope it makes a speedy recovery. I've got a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel pup (9wks) who keeps attacking my wool!

That's a pretty purse. Can I ask where you bought the clasp and what you used to stick the fabric to it?
