Print O' the Waves Stole

Postby kaz » Sun Jan 15, 2017 12:29 pm

I knitted my first Heirloom shawl 3 years ago for my daughter in law to wear at her wedding.

Now another of my son's is getting married (I have 3 sons and 1 daughter) and I offered to knit a shawl for his fiancee.

Ola has chosen another Shetland lace pattern and after quite a few false starts it is going well (and is much less complicated at this stage than the Willamson shawl that was my initiation to lace knitting).

I'm using lifelines after each 12 row repeat and they have already saved me a couple of times.

I'm also using stitch markers after each 12 row repeat so that I can pick up thee stitches more evenly for the border.

8 pairs of socks for 2011, 6 pairs for 2012, 2 pairs for 2013
