I'm very new here and a pretty amateur crotchet addict, so apologies if I haven't asked this in the right place.
I'm looking for a solid colour yarn, black ideally, to go with the six point star I have made with James C Brett Party Time Chunky so that I can make it into a rectangular blanket.
I've had a look around online but, of course, you can't really tell what a yarn will be like until you get your hands on it and nothing seems to be springing off the pages as an instant great match in terms of density and feel.
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Try a ball of Cygnet chunky - it uses the same needle sizes and it's cheap enough for an experiment. They are small Company so keep their prices down to attract more custom and I saw lots of good reviews. Have not tried it myself.
