Looking for a easy pattern for newborn baby jumper

Have you come across Tin Can Knits, they have a sweater tutorial which has a new born size so when you say straightforward, I wasn't sure how basic you wanted. Anyway, I like this one.

Oh they're a great two woman company, they are Canadian but one lives in Scotland at the moment. They have a young growing family and menfolk who thrive in the rugged outdoors, they are the sort of friends that I yearn to have. Wholesome and fun, and their knitwear is designed to be worn by real people. They also love helping and encouraging knitters and more especially non knitters. Definitely a company worth getting to know. I'm glad Flax fits your bill. I'd like to see it if it's the one you do choose to knit.
