Sorry Me again!!

Postby KelseysNan » Sun Feb 21, 2016 1:33 pm

Hi Ladies!
Yes its me again, I apologise for yet another question.

I am now working on a newborn cardigan. I have done the left front rib but the last row has me stumped.

The rib is worked
*K2 , P2, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2, P1.
2nd row K1, P2, *K2, P2, rep from * to end.

I have done this great and it looks good however i am confused with the next row??

Rib3, rib 2tog, (rib 2, rib 2tog) 5 times rib 2. 21 stitches.

Help... I have tried to search and i just dont get it.??

Many Thanks
Caroline

Ok lets brake it down a wee bit for you.

The first rib3 means you continue doing your normal ribbing for the next 3stitches. then you'll need to do a decrease ie knit 2 stitches together or purl 2 stitches 2tog which ever looks best.

(Then you do the next 2 stitches as the ribbing, then the next 2stitches will be knitted or purled together to make another decrease.) Repeat this bit in the brackets again 4 more times.

Now you should only have 2 stitches left of the rib to knit or purl

When you done those 2 stitches I would suggest counting up your stitches to make sure you now only have a total of 21stitches.

I hope that helps.
